中峇鲁忆旧
小时候到中峇鲁是为了看牙医。
“南洋牙科”，印象中是在金榜路。
牙医是祖父的旧识，也是曾祖父的学生。
因此，小时候看牙医是免费的。
看牙齿只是借口，更多时候是为了访友。
大人忙着谈天说笑，牙医会识趣地请吃雪糕。
隔邻的古早杂货店外摆着大冰箱。
那是小时候很大的奢侈。
祖父不在以后，去得少了。
后来，诊所的棒子交给牙医的儿子。
再后来，老牙医也不在了。
中峇鲁区再怎么保留，也有变迁。
诊所旧址的整排店屋拆除。
偶尔路过，心里总觉得少了一点什么。
南洋牙科如今搬到金殿路靠近红山一带。
处于中峇鲁边缘，似远还近地恋着往昔。

It us sad to go to familiar places but he familaries are gone! My favourite corner Kopitiam at river valley served my favourite kai si horfun. The corner of Alexandra junction had a nice wanton noodle. Sigh...change and evolvement is good but sad at the same time. Can we hold on to something familiar but still evolve?
